Advanced Long-Form Improv

Advanced Long-Form Improv (303)

Create your own Long-Form Improv Show

This course is the culmination of 103 and 203 by teaching students how to put on their own long-form improv show that they can perform and tour. The teacher will act as a guide to the class to help them to build up their own show the way an improv group does.

While the format developed will be specific to the class, students will have in their toolkit the knowledge, experience and training to develop their own long-form shows outside of class.

Students will work to develop their own long-form improv show format. They will be comfortable as a team to put this show on themselves. The students will have a strong understanding of what the show structure is and any themes, openings or specific group games. In addition, they will be able to go out and work with other improv groups to develop long-form improv shows.
